Queen’s Hotel | Dundee | 17 Oct 1909
My Darling,
This hotel is a great trial to me. Yesterday morning I had half eaten a kipper when a huge maggot crept out and flashed his teeth at me! to-day I could find nothing nourishing for lunch but pancakes. Such are the trials which great and good men endure in the service of their country.
