CL 1618.                 “ACME PHOTO”              CLEVELELAND BUREAU
 Charles D. Sutherland of South Bend, Ind., shot and killed his wife, Amanda, in their home Jan 26th in a climax to a religious argument.  Sutherland told police he felt he knew his wife was possessed of the devil, the he “could see the devil in her eyes” and that he “shot here to save her soul”.  The wife died of two bullet wounds, one in the abdomen and the other in the head.
